World Football In Turmoil Over Proposed Super League
Twelve of Europe's top football clubs have announced they are launching a breakaway league, to be called the European Super League, which will be independent of UEFA.
They plan to do this while maintaining membership of their respective domestic leagues.
The clubs in question are Manchester United, Manchester City, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur, Real Madrid, Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, Inter Milan, Juventus and AC Milan.
FIFA and UEFA have condemned the plans, issuing warnings that players involved in the league will be banned from representing their countries, and clubs will be banned from playing in their domestic leagues.
Mark Lawrenson and Miguel Delaney joined us to look at the impact the Super League would have on world football.
