Around 11% of cars sold in Ireland in the first quarter of the year were electric. Could this be the year that more drivers take the plunge and go electric? Carlos Tavares, chief executive of the world's fourth largest car maker Stellantis, has warned that requirements for car makers to sell large numbers of electric vehicles during this decade risk pushing personal vehicles out of reach of current owners.
