Will the University of Limerick’s expansion plan be to the detriment of the city centre

The University of Limerick has outlined plans to develop a new economic zone as part of a joint venture with Clare County Council. The University claims it could create up to 3,500 jobs with land used for education, research, living, working, and recreational spaces.  But concerns are being raised that such a large development over the Clare border will be at the detriment of Limerick city centre.
