White House Marks St Patrick's Day With Virtual Meeting

For the first time in decades, there will be no St Patrick's Day meeting between a Taoiseach and US president in the White House. Instead, Joe Biden will hold a virtual meeting with Micheál Martin tomorrow. According to a White House statement, the two will discuss COVID-19, addressing global challenges, increasing shared prosperity and supporting political and economic stability in Northern Ireland, as well as reaffirming the historic partnership between the United States and Ireland. Cal Thomas and Marion McKeone discussed this and more in our US slot. [audio mp3="https://media.radiocms.net/uploads/2021/03/16180551/LW-US-St-Patricks-Day.mp3"][/audio]
