What will the North of Ireland's new restrictions mean for the republic?

Talks are due to resume today between Northern Ireland’s ministers after they have failed to reach an agreement over whether or not to extend the current coronavirus restrictions.  The regulations which forced the closure of much of the hospitality sector and close contact businesses, will expire first thing tomorrow unless a deal is reached.  What does this mean for the republic? What effect will this have? Are you living in a border county?
