The Week Trending - Taoiseach Describes Racism As A Virus

Taoiseach Leo Varadkar has described racism as a virus, and said that we "don't have to look across the Atlantic" to find it. Speaking in the Dáil yesterday, he said that there had been an "absence of moral leadership" in the United States in the wake of George Floyd's death, and that we have "many examples" of racism in Ireland which need to be tackled. Lise Hand and Donal O'Donoghue joined us for The Week Trending to discuss this and some of the other stories making the news this week, including the criticism of Donald Trump's response to the protests and Luke 'Ming' Flanagan baring his bottom half to European Parliament.
