Two sons of Independent TD Michael Healy-Rae have been given suspended sentences for assaulting a man in Kerry in 2017. Councillor Jackie Healy-Rae and his brother Kevin were convicted, along with another man, of assaulting a visitor from the UK while queueing at a chip van in Kenmare. They were given suspended sentences of eight and seven months respectively.
