New research from Ibec has found that women have taken on more of the burden of family care during the pandemic than male colleagues. According to the survey, 20% of employers noted increased pressure on female workers and increased childcare responsibilities due to homeschooling, while 31% of respondents said more women than men had requested unpaid leave due to family caring responsibilities. Brenda Power, columnist with the Irish Daily Mail, joined us to explain why women are now paying the price for "rubbishing" men's domestic skills.
