Vaccination For Children Aged 12 -15 To Begin This Weekend
The Director of the HSE's vaccination campaign, Damien McCallion, has said slots have been made available at Covid-19 vaccination centres this weekend for 12 to 15-year-olds to receive their first dose.
Registration for the cohort will open on Thursday, August 12th with the first vaccines to be administered to that age group at the weekend.
There will also be evening clinics along with appointments with a limited number of GPs and pharmacies to facilitate parents who have to accompany their children, McCallion explained.
Liam Fanning, professor of immunovirology at UCC, and Kieran Harkin, GP and founding member of Access to Medicines Ireland, joined The Last Word to discuss.
