Union Not Happy That Health Workers Won’t Be Given A Covid Work Reward

Unions representing healthcare workers have said they are “deeply offended” by a lack of proposal from the HSE to recognise their efforts in the fight against COVID following a meeting at the Workplace Relations Commission.  In recent months, the INMO had called for an extra 10 days annual leave for workers in recognition of their Covid efforts.  Tony Fitzpatrick, chair of the National Joint Council of Health Sector Trade Unions spoke to us this morning.
