Two Years Later, Waterford Man John Upton Finally Comes Home

Two years ago, John Upton’s life changed in a matter of minutes. Having come home from work with a headache, within a matter of hours, he was being rushed to Dublin for specialist treatment for a clot on his brain stem. He underwent a number of life-saving procedures, and now has limited mobility and requires a wheelchair. John has been in specialist residential care away from his family since then. In April, we first met John’s other half Caroline and family friend Seamus, who told us of their campaign to ‘Bring John Home’. On December 20th 2021, John finally did come home, just in time for Christmas. Caroline and Seamus joined Dermot and Dave to fill them in on the latest.
