Trump Threatens To "Obliterate" Turkish Economy
Donald Trump has threatened to "obliterate" Turkey's economy if the country does anything he considers to be "off limits" after the withdrawal of US troops from north-east Syria.

Although Kurdish forces had been fighting Islamic State militants in Syria alongside the US, they are considered by Turkey to be terrorists.
Trump tweeted the following threat to Turkey:
As I have stated strongly before, and just to reiterate, if Turkey does anything that I, in my great and unmatched wisdom, consider to be off limits, I will totally destroy and obliterate the Economy of Turkey (I’ve done before!). They must, with Europe and others, watch over...
