Threats To Expel Students Who Break COVID-19 Guidelines
Students at University College Cork have been warned that they could be expelled if they break COVID-19 guidelines.
In an email, UCC interim president Professor John Halloran said that "students found to be organising, hosting, or attending gatherings which are in breach of guidelines will be subject to sanction up to and including expulsion from the university, where warranted."
We spoke to Kevin McStravock, Vice President for Academic Affairs at the Union of Students in Ireland, and Jim Miley, Director General of the Irish Universities Association, about this.
