Are things getting a bit hysterical over the Sinn Fein 'rallies'?

Sinn Féin President Mary Lou McDonald’s announced the party's public meetings, which will be held all over the country over the next few weeks. They want to rally support to build a government, with the first one being held tonight in Cork South Central.  But is this really the best way to go about forming a government? Rory Hearne, Lecturer of Social Policy at Maynooth University, thinks we're all getting a bit hysterical over these upcoming 'rallies', and he told Ivan why.
