'There is the opportunity there for more girls to get involved' - Rallycross Driver Aoife Rafferty
The Moncrieff show comes to you today live from Galmont Hotel for Movies and Booze with thanks to our friends in Marks and Spencer.
The world of motorsport has unfairly been dominated by males since its conception. But that is starting to change.
One woman on the cusp of that change is Aoife Rafferty a Galway Native and Rallycross Driver.
Aoife In 2022 was selected as the first female driver into the Motorsport Ireland (MI) Rally Academy and is just back from the British Rallycross where she finished 5th place in her first-ever Rally Cross tournament.
Tom Dunne was thrilled to sit down with Aoife to chat about the world of motorsport, the lack of gender diversity in the sport and how she found herself becoming a rallycross driver.
