The UK’s Brexit negotiator Lord Frost has accused the European Union this morning of taking a “purist” approach in the row over the movement of sausages from Great Britain to Northern Ireland. He again threatened to suspend parts of the Brexit deal covering Northern Ireland in order to reduce barriers to goods moving across the Irish Sea, something that could trigger a trade war with Brussels.
