The Climate Change Advisory Council has published their first Carbon Budget, and if it’s accepted by government, it wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say it means an end to the lifestyle we’ve become accustomed to. Huge emission reductions are on the cards, in particular in the second half of this decade, and only a concerted effort by every household and business could achieve it. Dr Cara Augustenborg is a member of the Council and a Environmental Policy Fellow at UCD and Brian Caulfield is the Associate Professor in the School of Engineering at Trinity College in Dublin, they both discussed with Anton on The Hard Shoulder...
