The latest as Storm Eunice continues to batter the country
Storm Eunice has hit Ireland -with Status Red wind warnings being issued for Cork, Kerry, Clare and Waterford for Friday, while Donegal, Mayo, Sligo, Leitrim, and Roscommon will be under Orange snow warnings. Met Éireann says wind gusts could reach up to 140km/h are forecast in some coastal counties.
For an update on the situation, Newstalk Breakfast spoke to Matthew Martin from Met Eireann, Anna Cullen, Multimedia of AA Roadwatch and Siobhan Wynne from the ESB. Also to get an update from the South of Ireland we heard from Ralph Riegel Southern Correspondent with the Irish Independent –coming live from Cork and Liz Dunphy Journalist with the Irish Examiner coming to us live from Waterford.
