The Incredible Story Of Limerick's Biggest Band

Over 50 million albums sold worldwide, four number one albums, a Grammy nomination and the first Irish band to reach one billion views on YouTube, the power of The Cranberries cannot be denied. [audio mp3="https://media.radiocms.net/uploads/2022/01/14104049/StuartClark_1401.mp3"][/audio] It’s hard to believe but four years ago, Dolores O’Riordan died at the age of just 46. As one of Ireland’s biggest musical acts, The Cranberries, and Dolores in particular, shared a special relationship with Ireland’s biggest music magazine ‘Hot Press’. In a new book, curated by Stuart Clark, the magazine pays tribute to the iconic Limerick band, and their even more iconic front woman. ‘Why Can’t We’ featured interviews, gig and album reviews, and countless photographs from their beginnings at the start of the 1990’s all the way up to their final act as a band in 2019. Stuart joined Dermot and Dave to chat about his own relationship with the band, and shared some behind the scenes stories. You can catch the chat in full by clicking play above, and you can find more information on 'Why Can't We' on the Hot Press Shop.
