The DUP threatens to trigger an election over the Northern Irish protocol

The DUP leader Jeffrey Donaldson announced his party's immediate withdrawal from cross-border political institutions yesterday. Mr Donaldson also threatened to trigger an election at Stormont within weeks unless changes are made to the Northern Ireland protocol.
