Persistent ill health can be a long term impact of contracting Covid 19. According to a new study by a team of Irish researchers regardless of the severity of the initial infection patients can find themselves suffering from “long covid” after the initial covid infection has passed.  Study lead author Liam Townsend research fellow at TCD’s Department of Clinical Medicine and specialist registrar at St James’s Hospital joined Kieran alongside Aoife Moore a mother of two whose life has been severely impacted by long covid.
