Garett Jones, Associate Professor of Economics and Professor for the Study of Capitalism at George Mason University & author of ‘10% Less Democracy: Why You Should Trust Elites a Little More and the Masses a Little Less’ joined Vincent to discuss the idea that the richest, most democratic nations, would be better off if they slightly reduced accountability to the voting public, and in effect turned up the dial on elite influence. Finally, Vincent was joined by Kieran Maguire from priceoffootball.com and Lecturer in Football Finance at the University of Liverpool to discuss the obstacles involved in getting the English Premier League and Championship up and running again, and look at the possible financial cost it could have on clubs in the lower leagues as well as in the top flight.
