Supermarket Employee Reveals What It's Like Working In-Store Nowadays

At the moment the only time most of us get to leave the house is for the weekly Tesco shop. Supermarket employees have been deemed essential workers by the government and are doing their best to make sure they the rest of us are not short of anything during the nationwide lockdown. Just like other essential workers, supermarket staff are putting themselves at risk on a daily basis, going into shops around the country, to ensure our homes are stocked up with everything we need. This week on Ask Me Anything, Dermot & Dave spoke to Robbie Kelly, a Manager at Tesco's Liffey Valley store. Robbie spoke to the lads about how most customers are doing their best to maintain social distancing while in-store, and how the majority of staff feel comfortable when serving customers on a daily basis. Robbie also revealed that Tesco has seen spike in the sale of box dies and fake nails, as the people of Ireland take their beauty regimes into their own hands, because of the Covid-19 lockdown. Hit play to hear more from Robbie on Ask Me Anything, including how staff are being kept entertained each day by an 80 year old woman.
