These Simple Steps Will Help You Set Your Goals For 2020...And Beyond

Transformative coach Tracy Geraghty guides us through the pitfalls of New Year's resolutions It's usually around this time of the year that the word "resolution" starts to show its elusive face, but do we really stick to any of the "new year new me" mumbo jumbo we tell ourselves? Just think back to this time last year - how many of those "promises" have you kept?   Well that was then and this is NOW, so we have plenty of time to implement long term changes. Transformative coach Tracy Geraghty joined Dermot and Dave for #MindYourselfNow, where she laid out her tips on bettering ourselves for a new decade. Tracy feels most people are contradicting themselves with subconscious beliefs; they say they want one thing but deep down, they yearn for something else. Being afraid to pursue our goals is the main catalyst for this, so one needs to "learn to catch yourself in the middle of negative thinking". Geraghty then teaches us techniques to trick the brain via new filters, tells us how important the phrase "your what is your why" is and cannot strain enough that patience is key; anything good that comes to us in our lives should be worth waiting for - and they take time. Don't be afraid to set a big, big goal for yourself but give yourself time to get there Reflection is also a very powerful tool to push us in the right direction. So if you're really hoping to make a change this time around, take note.
