Should Ireland Have A Stalkers Register?

In the UK in the wake of the tragic killing of Sarah Everard – there's been calls to implement a stalkers register. The idea proposed involves adding the names of such men to the violent and sex offender register which is already used to keep track of sex offenders.  Should we implement something similar here?
