Sex Ed - religious opt out?

A new sexual education curriculum is on the way in the coming months following an extensive review from the National Council for Curriculum and Assessment. Launching the review, Minister for Education Joe McHugh said that schools will be able to opt out of certain changes depending on the school’s ethos. So, should schools be able to opt out if it contradicts their religious ethos? Michael Nugent, Chairperson of Atheist Ireland and Alan Whelan from the Catholic Secondary School Parents Partnership join the show to debate.
