Should school midterms be extended by a week?

Reports have been suggesting that the mid-term break for schools could be extended - all in an effort to halt the spread of Covid-19. Schools are due to close from Monday, October 26th for a week; but the Government could well be adding an extra week to that break. Government sources have insisted that no firm decision has been made. Kieran was joined on Friday's edition of The Hard Shoulder by General Secretary of the INTO, John Boyle, Aine Lynch, CEO of the National Parents Council Primary, Aodhan O’Riordain, Labour Party spokesperson on Education and TD for Dublin Bay North and Anthony Staines, Professor of Health Systems at the School of nursing in DCU
