Ryanair Wants Hotel Quarantine Scrapped For EU Countries

Ryanair is calling on the government to scrap mandatory hotel quarantine for EU passengers. The airline has also argued that clear times should be set for reopening travel to ensure that all citizens who have been vaccinated can move without restrictions. Eddie Wilson, chief executive of Ryanair, described the system as "a PR stunt", arguing that quarantine doesn't work if people can simply avoid it by flying in via Belfast or EU countries not on the quarantine list. He joined us on The Last Word to discuss this further. [audio mp3="https://media.radiocms.net/uploads/2021/04/23172653/LW-Eddie-Wilson.mp3"][/audio]
