RTÉ's Finances Hit Hard By COVID-19

RTÉ has been hit hard by COVID-19, and it was announced this week that the broadcaster will avail of the government's temporary wage subsidy scheme. It was also confirmed that there could be a sharp decline in advertising revenue of between 25% and 35% for the year. There has also been talk of a TV licence moratorium, but Communications Minister Richard Bruton has said he doesn't intend to seek this. Jennifer Gannon and Joe O'Shea discussed this and more in our weekly TV slot. Listen to the interview in full by pressing the play button on this page.
