Rise In COVID-19 Infections: Will Wedding Guest Lists Be Cut?

It's been reported that pubs which were due to reopen next week will remain shut until August, as concerns were raised about a rise in COVID-19 cases. The number of new infections jumped to 32 yesterday, the highest daily figure since mid-June. A delay in moving to Phase 4 of the roadmap would also impact the size of mass gatherings and events such as weddings, and guest lists would have to be cut. Professor Gerard Killeen from the School of Biological, Earth and Environmental Sciences at University College Cork and Ronan Lynch, owner of The Swan Bar in Dublin and Chairman of the Licensed Vintners Association, joined us to discuss this further.
