Rents In Dublin Are Falling, But Rising Everywhere Else
According to the latest rental report from Daft.ie, the average monthly rent in Ireland at the end of 2020 was €1,414. This was 0.9% higher than the previous year.
However, there is a contrast between Dublin and the rest of the country.
Rents in the capital fell by 3.3% in 2020, while elsewhere rents rose by 5.4% on average.
To discuss the reasons why, we were joined by Pat Davitt, Chief Executive of the Institute of Professional Auctioneers & Valuers, Rob Sweeney, Senior Economic Policy Analyst with Tasc, and Shawna Scott, owner of SexSiopa.ie, who moved out of Dublin 15 years ago.
