How Relevant Is The Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame?

Thin Lizzy have been nominated for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. They are one of 16 acts on the shortlist for next year's induction ceremony, which takes place in Cleveland, Ohio. The other nominees include Dave Matthews Band, Motorhead, Pat Benatar, Soundgarden, The Doobie Brothers and the Notorious B.I.G. In order to be be eligible for nomination, an artist must have released their first commercial recording at least 25 years beforehand. But is the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame really relevant?
