The Bellissimo Files One To Watch: PrYmary Colours On Wanting To Spread Positivity And Their New Project The Movement

PrYmary Colours This week's One To Watch is electronic duo PrYmary Colours, made up of Cayisha and Daz. The duo have just released their latest project and track The Movement. Cayisha joined Sarina on The Bellissimo Files to tell us all about it.   View this post on Instagram   A post shared by PrYmary Colours (@prymarycolours) Cayisha and Daz aim to use their music to spread positivity and inspire change. Daz is the man behind the soulful and upbeat beats. In The Movement he mixes a disco sound with the traditional Irish Kerry Polka for a really unique sound. Cayisha's powerful vocals tell the story of her upbringing as a black woman in Ireland.   View this post on Instagram   A post shared by PrYmary Colours (@prymarycolours) Speaking to Sarina on The Bellissimo Files, Cayisha told us how her family moved here from Jamaica. At the time, there were very few other black people in Ireland and she explains the difficulties she faced growing up. However, Cayisha uses her music to channel those negative experiences into something positive. The Movement is a call for people to stand together in solidarity and move forward to a more diverse and inclusive future. The project also includes a mini-documentary titled The Movement: Perspective Of A Black Irish Woman.  Big things are to come from PrYmary Colours, with more music and gigs on the way.
