Why Priests Are Concerned By Online 'Mass-Hopping' And Rating Of Performances

COVID-19 restrictions have stopped the public celebration of mass, meaning many services have moved online. But some priests are finding that their performances are being judged, with members of the public engaging in 'mass-hopping'. According to Fr Gerry O'Connor from Cork, priests can see how many online views they have received and are concerned about parishioners comparing their masses to those of other priests.
