Sarah is from the inner city of Dublin and has committed to a rigorous training programme and she hopes to emulate the success of her idol Katie Taylor View this post on Instagram “If I have seen further than others, it is by standing upon the shoulders of giants”. I hope I am the shoulders that tomorrow’s young athletes will stand on to see further. @gymshark A post shared by Katie Taylor (@katie_t86) on Aug 23, 2019 at 11:01am PDT Chatting on Plan B "I’m 17 years old from inner city Dublin and I live in the flats with my mam, brother and sister and I have to do a 40 minute bus journey to training up and back everyday which gives me the hunger to do well. I didn’t want to get dragged into what other people were doing around me so I got busy with training. I train five times a week for three hours a day and I don’t know what I’d do without training now. It’s become my life." View this post on Instagram Huge moment for our gym as one of our junior coaches @sarahes_ becomes the first ever U18 @immafed World Champion . We are all extremely proud of her. All your hard work has paid off #worldchampion #sbgcharlestown @immaaonline A post shared by SBG Charlestown (@sbgcharlestown) on Aug 3, 2019 at 6:07am PDT About her gold medal, Sarah said, "For me fighting is about pushing myself to the limits mentally and physically and just proving to myself that I can do this. I can’t explain the feeling of stepping into the cage to anyone but I was smiling every step of the way."
