It is the morning after the night before – the UK’s 47 year membership of the EU has come to an end.  A geopolitical shift that has been three and a half years in the making has now happened - and we now turn our attention to an 11 month transition period. Author and writer with the Mail on Sunday, Peter Hitchens has  been a long-standing critic of the EU and the UK’s place in it but did not agree with putting the issue to a referendum.
