Paschal Donohoe On Why The Taoiseach Should Travel To The US For St Patrick's Day

Minister for Finance Paschal Donohoe has said he believes the Taoiseach should travel to the United States for St Patrick's Day. He told The Last Word that while there is uncertainty about whether celebrations at the White House will go ahead, Micheál Martin should accept an invitation from President Joe Biden because of "the political benefits of ongoing engagement with the United States". He also discussed the increase in public debt to €47,700 per person as a result of COVID-19, and whether we can afford it.
