It could be funny photos, memes, captions or advertising – but, where does this content come from? Who is creating it? Is it balanced? Can online electioneering actually be harmful to our elections? Writing in the Irish Examiner today Joyce Fegan argues ‘Ads on social media and emotive content created by activists are largely ungovernable and designed to influence electoral behaviour’.
