"On every level, I think it was wrong..."

Writing in The Guardian newspaper, President Michael D Higgins, has critiqued British imperialism and the “feigned amnesia” of academics and journalists who refuse to address its legacy. Is he right?  Do too many people forget the impact imperialism has had on the relationship between the UK and Ireland? Kevin Myers is a journalist, historian, and author of ‘Burning Heresies: A Memoir of a Life in Conflict’, and he joined Kieran on Friday's edition of The Hard Shoulder to explain why he feels the President was wrong 'on every level'.
