"Nuts", "Wacky", "A Data Protection Accident Waiting To Happen" - New Restaurant Regulations Widely Criticised

New regulations requiring pubs and restaurants to make all customer information available to Gardaí for 28 days have been criticised as "ridiculous". Under the new law, which came into effect yesterday, businesses serving food need to keep a record of each customer's order and share it if necessary. Noel Anderson, incoming chair of the Licensed Vintners Association, and Dr Anthony Staines, Professor of Health Systems at Dublin City University, gave us their thoughts.
