The Royal British Legion has said that the poppy will mean something a little different this year. It is something that has long represented remembrance of the UK’s armed forces. However, it will now also stand for civilian victims, not just of war, but terrorism too. Journalist, author and advocate for the Irish who lost their lives in the World Wars, Kevin Myers, told Ivan why he believes extending the meaning is 'nonsense'. Is the poppy losing all meaning?
