New Study Finds Irish Accent Is One Of The Least Annoying

A new study has found the Irish accent to be one of the least annoying. Business training website TheKnowledgeAcademy.com asked 500 people to listen to a five-minute passage from a famous book, read by native speakers from a number of different countries. Researchers found that people could listen to an Irish person speak for three times longer than an American person. American, South African and New Zealand accents were found to be the most annoying, while the Scottish accent was the least annoying. Caitlin McBride and Paddy Cullivan discussed this and some of the other stories making the news in The Week Trending.
