New, More Infectious, Strain Of COVID-19 Detected

A new strain of COVID-19 has been identified in Britain which may be responsible for the faster spread in South East England. Health Secretary Matt Hancock told MPs that case numbers associated with this new strain are "increasing rapidly". However, there is currently no evidence to suggest that it would fail to respond to a vaccine. Meanwhile, with case numbers rising again in Ireland, is it inevitable that we will be back into lockdown in January? Dr Jack Lambert, professor of medicine and infectious diseases at the Mater and UCD School of Medicine, and Dr Vincent McDarby, psychologist and member of the Psychological Society of Ireland, joined us to discuss this.
