"The murals are well established, they're not going to go away or change"

In an article last week, Newton Emerson, the political commentator took the opportunity to denounce the muralists in Belfast from both communities, arguing that it was time for all the paintings to be erased on the grounds that they lack artistic merit and he also questioned the content of murals. Well, we decided to take a look at the history and the messages of the murals and Ivan was joined by Prof. Bill Rolston, Emeritus Professor, Transitional Justice Institute, Ulster University who has written extensively on the murals.
