Most Workers Want To Stay Working Remotely

Over the past year, working remotely has become normal. The novelty of the ironing board desks and kitchen banter with housemates has long worn off and now, employees are starting to think ahead to what the work week will look like when things start to revert back to the before time. A new study has found that 95% of workers don't want to go back fully to the days of being in the office full time. The second annual 'Remote Working Survey' by NUI Galway and the Western Development Commission has found that the majority of people would like to work remotely several times a week and cited greater flexibility, increased productivity and an easier life as their main reasons for the change. Speaking to Dermot and Dave, Tomás Ó Síocháin, CEO of the Western Development Commission, revealed how many of the respondents said they work longer hours when they're not in the office, and the impact the change to our workday has had on teams.
