EU foreign ministers met last night to decide on further sanctions ahead of a meeting of Defence Ministers this morning. Minister Simon Coveney, who fulfils both roles, brought Shane up to speed on the situation. Talks between Russian and Ukrainian delegates took place on the Belarusian border last night. Lesia Vasylenko is a Ukrainian MP and Jonathan Marcus is the former BBC Defence and Diplomatic correspondent spoke to us on Newstalk Breakfast this morning.
