Dermot and Dave were joined by Fiona Brennan, clinical hypnotherapist, for Mind Yourself Now. Today we were talking about the huge impact fluctuating hormones that occur as part of PMS can have on the lives of women. Fiona emphasised the importance of educating all of us on the impact of these hormones on the emotional wellbeing of the women in our lives. PMS can last 3-10 days each month which is a long time to be experiencing tiredness, moodiness, irrational anger and irritability. Without the knowledge of what is causing this, women could start to believe she has generalized anxiety and that there is something wrong with her. Fiona gave us more information on how these hormones can impact women's lives, and also gave some helpful tips on how to manage and hopefully prevent these feelings.
