Meet The Australian Woman Who Woke Up With An Irish Accent

In April, Brisbane woman Angie Yen underwent a fairly standard surgery to remove her tonsils. Months later, Angie is still living with her new accent. The likely cause is something called Foreign Accent Syndrome, a rare speech disorder for which there is no known specific cause or cure. It's been incredibly difficult for Angie, who has received an awful lot of abuse through social media, as well as adjusting to hearing a different voice every time she opens her mouth.
