Meet The Dublin Brothers Making A Positive Change In War Zones Worldwide

Every one of us has heard stories about various war zones across the globe. We've seen the pictures and watched video clips on the news or online, but it never really seems to sink in. Is it that we don't care, or is it that we have become numb to it all? Sometimes, all we need is a fresh perspective and one man who decided to make a change is Dubliner Calvin James Sweeney. Back in 2016, Calvin travelled to war-torn Syria to volunteer as a medic and ambulance driver and help those caught up in the middle of the conflict. Before heading to Syria, he lived in Dublin city, working in social care with a wide range of clients from patients with dementia, autism, young offenders to those suffering from drug addiction. Speaking on Today FM's Dermot and Dave, Calvin gives us some insight into just how bad things are when fighting ISIS on the frontline. He also chats about the Scoop Foundation that he and his brother Andy setup in 2010; where they use the positive power of dance music and the arts to support humanitarian projects in the Middle East.
