Matt Cooper Speaks About His Diabetes Battle For The First Time
The HSE has urged people with diabetes to seek medical advice from their pharmacist, GP or hospital team if they have concerns during this time.
They have also reassured people that diabetes services are resuming despite COVID-19.
Dr Doireann O'Leary, health blogger and GP with MyCorkGP, joined us for our weekly medical slot to explain the difference between type 1 and type 2 diabetes, the risk factors, symptoms and potential complications, and how to manage it.
Matt, who was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes in late 2018, also talked about his experience of living with the condition.
